Rapper Flo Rida is no longer performing at the Miss USA pageant later this month, according to TMZ.

The performer’s move follows backlash against Miss USA co-owner Donald Trump, but the entertainment news website reported that Flo Rida refused additional comment on his decision.
He had been scheduled to appear during the event’s evening gown competition.

Trump offended some by criticizing Hispanic immigrants during his GOP presidential campaign launch two weeks ago.

“They’re sending people who have a lot of problems,” Trump said on June 16 of illegal immigration from Mexico.

“They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people,” he added in remarks at Trump Tower in New York City.

Macy’s announced on Wednesday that it is yanking Trump-branded merchandise following public outcry over his comments. The department store will no longer sell men’s business clothing or accessories from the Trump’s Signature Collection.

“In light of statements made by Donald Trump, which are inconsistent with Macy’s values, we have decided to discontinue our business relationship with Mr. Trump and will phase-out the Trump menswear collection, which has been sold at Macy’s since 2004,” it said in a statement.

NBCUniversal revealed on Monday that it is also terminating its business partnership with the 2016 White House hopeful.

The network additionally said it is no longer airing the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants next month, which are produced by Trump.

Univision led the charge against Trump by severing its bonds with the billionaire celebrity last week.

Trump is now suing the company for $500 million after it backed out of telecasting his Miss Universe contest.

“As a consequence of their inappropriate actions, Univision and NBC have abandoned fifty one wonderful young women who have come from all over the United States to pursue their dream of being crowned Miss USA,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.

“NBC and Univision have wronged them,” he added.

Trump additionally defended his thoughts on illegal immigration in his announcement of the lawsuit earlier this week.

“We are losing a huge number of jobs, manufacturing opportunities and money due to poorly negotiated trade deals, a fact that [is] undisputable,” he said.
